Nick Foster is a BAFTA-winning British composer and producer with 15 years' track record in his field. He has composed numerous major TV and advertising scores, not to mention many hit records, in the UK & worldwide, receiving great critical acclaim and commercial success. With years of experience working in some of the world's best recording facilities with the UK's best musicians, Nick is just as at home running a session with full orchestra as he is creating entirely synthetic scores single-handed in the studio.
Our team has working relationships with some of the best conductors, orchestrators, musicians, fixers and engineers in the industry. This places us in the perfect position to create large-scale, fully orchestrated productions in some of the world's top recording facilities. That said, we are equally at home working on smaller or low-budget productions. Our composers are experts in computer and sample-based production, able to create anything from breathtakingly realistic orchestral scores to songs of the simplest instrumentation.
The music we provide should be able to adapt and change and this is held as a major and fundamental factor throughout our work, providing the player or user with their own personal and unique soundtrack. The team at Short Round are literate on industry standard middleware programs such as Wwise and FMOD and can easily adapt these skills to work with our client's proprietary audio solution.
At Short Round we work closely with our clients to create a unique musical identity. We understand that not all projects call for original composition and sometimes pre-existing tracks can help complement the score or even provide the entire soundtrack.
We can help our clients select tracks for their projects, be it from the newest up and coming artist or an obscure undiscovered gem. Short Round will also guide clients through the licensing of their selected tracks, making sure any suggestions are within budget and helping to secure the best possible terms for their use.
